NSFAS offers bursaries and loans to students based on their financial circumstances. The financial aid scheme is changing the funding for more than a thousand students.

As a public university, Unisa students are eligible for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). However, to continue receiving financial support, students must meet the requirements of the NSFAS N+ Rule. Here's what you need to know about how this rule applies to Unisa students in 2025.

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) provides accommodation allowances to assist students in living close to their institutions of higher learning. However, NSFAS has issued a stern warning to accommodation providers who are demanding additional payments from students beyond the approved allowance.

For students enrolled at the Unisa, NSFAS offers financial support tailored to the unique needs of distance learning. For the 2025 academic year, NSFAS has confirmed the eligibility requirements and allowance structure for Unisa students.

The 2025 academic year is underway, and Vaal University of Technology (VUT) students are reminded to ensure their bank details are submitted to receive National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) allowance payments.

 

NSFAS has now introduced a student loan scheme. For the 2025 academic year, NSFAS has confirmed which allowances will be covered under this loan scheme.

UKZN is gearing up for the 2025 academic year and have announced how NSFAS students will be paid. The university also confirmed the payment amount.
