The Services SETA (SSETA) has partnered with SAPOA to sponsor 100 students with bursaries for a 4 year degree in property related studies. With this opportunity, we wish to address the skills shortages in commercial property nationally.

The bursary opportunity is aimed at current first year students. We still have funding available and need students who meet the below criteria.


Grant Thornton Bursary

At Grant Thornton, we don’t just recruit brain power. We also look for sustainable energy that keeps our bottom line growing.

To assist you with some of your university expenses, we offer merit-based bursaries to 1st, 2nd and 3rd year CA stream students.

Please note that our bursaries are given to a limited number of students, all of whom have a great academic record and the personal attributes we’re looking for.

Bursaries are made available to students to pursue their studies at accredited institutions in the following fields:

Old Mututal Bursary 2015

Old Mutual offers bursaries to the best young financial minds, to people who are passionate about pursuing a career in Chartered Accounting and making a real difference.

You need a matric with at least 70% or Level 6 for all subjects including Mathematics (not Maths Literacy) and English.
You also need to commit to our CA Training Programme after which you will work for Old Mutual for a specified period of time. Please apply timeously for admission to the university.

Absip Bursary

The ABSIP Bursary is aimed at financially supporting disadvantaged black students who have demonstrated academic excellence, a passion to pursue a career within financial services industry and be studying at any university in South Africa.

Access Trust

The Access Trust mission strives to enable capable young people from disadvantaged communities to access skilled employment through studying at further education and training colleges.

The Sage External Bursary is aimed at funding undergraduate students. Applicants must be studying at a public university in South Africa.

The purpose of the Amazon bursary aims to develop a talent pipeline for Amazon (AWS) in South Africa. Bursaries are awarded to students in fields relevant to the technology sector.

Interested in studying IT? The Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) is inviting applicants to apply for a bursary. 

The bursary will provide financial support to full time students enabling them to complete their education and pursue a career which will help to grow the IT industry and the South African economy.

The Citrus Academy bursary is open to any person studying at a registered tertiary education institution. Students must be studying in a field related to citrus production or research.

The Western Cape Provincial Treasury launched this bursary programme in 2008. Through the programme, youth will have the opportunity to access tertiary education.
