Vodacom Bursary 2021

If you are a South African Citizen you may qualify for a bursary for full-time studies at our accredited tertiary institutions in one of the following fields of study:

  • Information Technology,
  • Information Systems,
  • Computer Science,
  • Computer Engineering,
  • Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Light Current only),
  • Big Data,

  • Mathematics/Mathematical Sciences,
  • Statistics and Digital Marketing.

Teaching bursaries available in South Africa

Teaching is the cornerstone of development and growth within a country, it is for this reason that there remains a growing demand for qualified teachers in South Africa. This growing demand is not without problems, as the education system continues to be riddled with complexities relating to the quality and accessibilty of education.

The Department of Education has put measures in place in order to help meet the growing demand for qualified teachers, however, this demand is not met by an adequate supply of teachers.

SASRIA Bursary Opportunity 2020

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria 

  • South African citizen
  • Completed Matric OR currently in Matric
  • Studying or intend on studying towards a full-time undergraduate degree qualification within one of the aforementioned fields of study
  • Studying or intend on studying at a recognised University in South Africa
  • If completed Matric, must have achieved a minimum average B symbol

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme In Hungary

The Hungarian Government is offering 100 scholarships to South African students to study at participating public university in Hungary. All courses available for South Africans are taught in English, however all Bachelor's and Master's students will be required to pass a course in Hungarian as a foreign language.

Who can apply for the scholarship?

The GrandWest Bursary Fund

The GrandWest Bursary Fund, established in 2007, is aimed at those from disadvantaged communities who’ve been previously excluded from socio-economic developments.

The bursary fund focuses not only on academic results but also considers the “sheer determination” of a student, GrandWest said.

“This means that the bursary fund does not only target high academic achievers. If you have overcome challenges to get into tertiary education, you should apply for this bursary.

CHILE: Nelson Mandela Scholarships for 2020

The Chilean Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AGCID) is offering grants to pursue Master's studies at Chilean higher education institutions in 2020.

The purpose of the AGCID Grant Programme is to contribute to the advanced formation of human capital.

The grants are offered to professionals who are citizens of South Africa, Mozambique and Angola. The call for the Nelson Mandela 2020 Scholarships is in Annex 1.

Latest Bursaries

The Sage External Bursary is aimed at funding undergraduate students. Applicants must be studying at a public university in South Africa.

Interested in studying IT? The Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) is inviting applicants to apply for a bursary. 

The bursary will provide financial support to full time students enabling them to complete their education and pursue a career which will help to grow the IT industry and the South African economy.

The Citrus Academy bursary is open to any person studying at a registered tertiary education institution. Students must be studying in a field related to citrus production or research.

The Western Cape Provincial Treasury launched this bursary programme in 2008. Through the programme, youth will have the opportunity to access tertiary education.
