The National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC) was established in 1997 with the aim of promoting the free expression of cultures in South Africa, through arts.
The NAC is currently offering 2 types of bursaries:
1) Block Institutional bursaries – These are for Undergraduate studies These bursaries must be applied for by Institutional heads of department, for their undergraduate students. Students may not directly apply for these.
The Canon Collins Scholarship aims to support exceptional individuals who are committed to social justice in Southern Africa. This scholarship is for those who will be pursuing a postgraduate qualification in the year 2022.

The Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG); through the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC} hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the National Disaster Management Centre's Bursary Programme for the 2020 Academic year.
The NDMC's Bursary Programme seeks to fund selected students enrolled for a higher qualification in Disaster Risk Science and/or Disaster Management at Public Institutions in South Africa.
CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:
SACTWU manages South Africa 's biggest trade union bursary fund. The scheme offers members and their dependents financial support to study at universities, technikons and certain other higher education institutions. The fund was started in 1975 with a small solidarity contribution by trade union members to help support each other to meet the education expenditure of their children.
The Mitchell’s Plain Bursary and Role Model Trust assists with registration and/or tuition fees for studies at tertiary institutions such as the University of Cape Town, University of the Western Cape, University of Stellenbosch, Cape Peninsula University of Technology and Further Education and Training Colleges.
The Trust works closely with all the high schools in Mitchell’s Plain to ensure that motivated, academically performing and financially deserving learners are given an opportunity to pursue their study and career goals.
