The Mitchell’s Plain Bursary and Role Model Trust assists with registration and/or tuition fees for studies at tertiary institutions such as the University of Cape Town, University of the Western Cape, University of Stellenbosch, Cape Peninsula University of Technology and Further Education and Training Colleges.
The Trust works closely with all the high schools in Mitchell’s Plain to ensure that motivated, academically performing and financially deserving learners are given an opportunity to pursue their study and career goals.
The Hungarian Government is offering 100 scholarships to South African students to study at participating public university in Hungary. All courses available for South Africans are taught in English, however all Bachelor's and Master's students will be required to pass a course in Hungarian as a foreign language.
The National Housing Finance Corporation (NHFC) is a development finance institution that funds and facilitates the development of affordable housing for the benefit of the low- and middle-income South African households.

SACTWU manages South Africa 's biggest trade union bursary fund. The scheme offers members and their dependents financial support to study at universities, technikons and certain other higher education institutions. The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program offers grants for South African university faculty and research institute professionals to conduct research in their field of expertise at a United States academic or research institution, for a period of three to nine months. The grants start no earlier than August 2020 and no later than March 2021.
The Health and Welfare SETA, invite applications from registered employed (part-time), and unemployed (full-time) South African students pursuing Postgraduate Diploma/Honours/B-Tech, M-Tech/Masters, D-Tech/Doctoral and Post-Doctoral studies at South African universities and other accredited higher education and training institutions.
