The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform is currently offering bursaries to qualifying applicants who are South African citizens and wish to undertake tertiary academic studies during the 2020 academic year.

The Hungarian Government is offering 100 scholarships to South African students to study at participating public university in Hungary. All courses available for South Africans are taught in English, however all Bachelor's and Master's students will be required to pass a course in Hungarian as a foreign language.
Sibanye-Stillwater awards a limited number of bursaries each year to selected candidates to study for a bachelor’s degree at a South African university.

The CHIETA has established a bursary Programme to offer financial assistance to young South Africans who qualify to undertake full-time studies at any accredited South African Public Tertiary Institution.
CHIETA 2020 Bursary Applications is now open until 28 February 2019, NO late applications will be considered.
The application window will open on 01 February 2019 (If you have not heard from CHIETA by 31 March 2019 consider your application unsuccessful).
Today the bursary scheme continues to assist students by offering them the opportunity to study these careers at Higher Education and Training (HET).
The MQA bursary is available to students that have enrolled with universities, Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges, and universities of technology. The bursary scheme covers tuition and registration fees; residence fees or out of residence living costs; books; stationery; and toolkit allowance per bursar per semester.
