Who can apply:

  • South African Citizen who is a resident of the beneficiary community
  • <35 years old
  • Average pass mark of 65%
  • In financial need to fund under/postgraduate study
  • People living with disabilities will get preference

How to Apply: 

  • Download a copy of the application form (below)
  • Complete the form and attach all supporting documents and submit to the Bursary Office through various channels.

What to submit:

  • A Completed SIOC-cdt Bursary Application form
  • A certified copy of latest matric results including mid-year Grade 12 results, or latest university/college academic results where application is for funding 2nd year onwards
  • Proof of acceptance at a public recognised Higher Education Institution (University or TVET/FET College)
  • A one-page cover letter to motivate your case for financial need
  • A certified copy of you South African ID
  • Proof of residence
  • Proof of income of parent(s) or guardian or affidavit where there is no income
  • Relevant medical note in the case of a disability
