The Bheki Mlangeni scholarship aims to promote progressive legal education at Wits University. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving South African final-year LLB student.

The scholarship was founded by Cheadle Thompson & Haysom Inc. in memory of Bhekisizwe Godfrey Mlangeni.

Closing date: 18 September 2021.

Candidate Requirements: 

Candidates must be:

  • Black;
  • Financially disadvantaged
  • Demonstrate excellence in constitutional law, labour law or administrative law; and
  • Demonstrates a commitment to use his or her legal qualification to advance the cause of social justice.


Bursary Inclusion: 

The scholarship is to the value of R30 000.

Latest Bursaries

The Portuguese National Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) is offering a scholarship for PhD graduates. This scholarship will be awarded in collaboration with the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre).

Through this scholarship programme, ten PhD grants will be offered to candidates studying in the following fields:

You have the chance to study in Ireland! The Kader Asmal Fellowship Programme is aimed at offering fully-funded scholarship opportunities to South African students. Selected students will be chosen to study at Master’s level in Ireland’s Higher Education Institutions.
