Must be studying towards the following field of studies:

  • Engineering (Mechanical, Automation, Instrumentation, Robotics, or Electronic, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering)

  • Computer Sciences, Information Technology
  • Innovation (Management of Technology and Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management, Innovation and Design Thinking)
  • Digital / e-commerce (Digital Marketing, Design and Digital Animation, Digital Media, E-Commerce Management, Brand Management, Social Media Marketing, Media Communications)
  • Agriculturalists (Animal Husbandry)

  • Finance – BCom Accounting, BCom. Financial Sciences o Commerce – Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Psychology.
  • Human Resources Management

Candidate Requirements

To be eligible for the Nestlé Future Talent Bursary applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African 17 -25 years
  • Must be applying to or already studying on a full-time basis at a university in South Africa
  • Applicants should have a senior certificate with a minimum of Level 6 in Mathematics and Physical Sciences for students planning to study engineering courses.
  • Tertiary students applying for the first time must have maintained a total average of at least 70% during the current study year for all courses.
  • Must need financial assistance. (People whose total combined house-hold income is less than R 605 000 per annum)
    • Achieved a minimum of 5 “O” level passes (including English Language at a minimum grade C) if planning to study towards an undergraduate degree or diploma
  • Kenya citizens:
    • Obtained a qualification in the Kenya National Examinations Council
    • Passed a minimum of 7 subjects (including the 3 mandatory in the Kenya Certificate of Education(KCE) (Maths, English, Kiswahili), 2 science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology), 1 humanities subject (History, Geography, Religious Education) and 1 arts subject (Aviation, Business Studies, Power Maintenance)
    • Achieved a minimum of 7 KCE passes (A, A-,B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-) if planning to study towards an undergraduate degree or diploma
    • Proven financial need
