Bursary Details: 

The HORTGRO Bursary Scheme provides support in discovering and training the best minds and developing a strong labour force. It is funded by HORTGRO as well as AgriSETA and Deciduous Fruit Industry Development Trust.

Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study:

  • Agricultural Economics
  • Biochemistry
  • Entomology and Nematology
  • Genetics
  • Horticulture
  • Microbiology
  • Plant Pathology
  • Research and Technical
  • Soil/ Water Science

Bursary Inclusion: 

The bursary award will cover the following expenses:

  • Tuition fees (limited amount)
  • Accommodation on tertiary campus
  • Prescribed books (limited amount).

Bursaries will be renewed each year based on satisfactory academic performance.
