Bursary Details: 

Hulamin is a leading fabricator of aluminium products. The company offers bursaries on an annual basis in multiple disciplines that are key to the company's performance.

The bursary funds the following disciplines:

  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Accounting

This bursary has no specific closing date.

Candidate Requirements: 

In order to qualify for the bursary, the candidate must be:

  • A South African citizen

  • From a previously disadvantaged background 

  • Residing in Pietermaritzburg or its surrounding area 

  • Meet the entry requirements at an approved University for the chosen field of study

Grade 12 students must have:

  • Minimum B symbol in Mathematics (higher grade), Physical Science (higher grade) and English for an engineering degree

  • OR a minimum B symbol in Accounting and English for an accounting degree

Only students who are pursuing their first degree are eligible.

Conditions of Bursary: 

Second-year recipients of the bursary are required to do vacation work.
