National Housing Finance Corporation Bursary 2019

Bursary Details: 

The NHFC has a tertiary bursary fund to help bolster capacity, expertise and work opportunities related to the housing finance sector.

Tertiary students, from second year and postgraduate study levels, in the fields listed here below, are invited to submit applications for consideration for the NHFC Bursary Fund:-

  • finance
  • economic development
  • risk management
  • real estate
  • property markets
  • energy efficiency
  • human settlements
  • housing
  • construction economics
  • housing construction
  • developmental studies
  • built environment


Candidate Requirements: 

The Bursary Applicants must:-

  • be a financially disadvantaged South African Citizen
  • prove high academic performance and achievement

Although awarding of the full bursary quantum shall, as a rule be honoured, the NHFC reserves the right to prioritise tuition fees, prescribed books and course material. Student accommodation and other requirements will be given less priority. The NHFC Bursary is renewable each year, depending on academic performance.

  • Grade 12 and past Academic results
  • R.S.A. Bar Coded ID Document
  • Proof of admission by the University
  • Academic record on the official letterhead of the University
  • ID of Parent/Guardian
  • IDs/Birth Certificates of all persons listed as part of household
  • Proof of Monthly Income of Parent/Guardian
