Bursary Details: 

The SYLFF scholarship is aimed at doctoral candidates who demonstrate leadership abilities and whose research focuses on SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION.
The SYLFF steering committee will approve the nominations and we will communicate this to The Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research in Japan. The value of the scholarship is $10, 000. The final approval will be communicated to successful grantees by the secretariat of the grant at The Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research (TF), Japan directly and the scholarship is disbursed directly by the TF.
The closing date is 30 June 2020

Candidate Requirements: 

Applications are invited for the above-mentioned scholarship from candidates who fulfil the following criteria:
  • 1st or 2nd enrolment in PhD.      
  • All fields of study. Preference will be given to applications from Social Sciences and Humanities, or Interdisciplinary studies.       
  • Research topics addressing social transformation.       
  • Active registration for 2020 as a full-time or part-time student.
