The South African Institute of Black Property Practitioners (SAIBPP) is a non-profit association which aims to facilitate and advocate for transformation in the property and built environment sector. The association has 24 years of experience in initiating programmes that mainly focus on skills development, enterprise development and policy formation. The SAIBPP bursary was established in order to make tertiary education more accessible to students in financial need. The bursary is particularly aimed at students who are pursuing property studies or other related studies.

Who can apply? 

  • Students in grade 12 (intending to enrol in their first year at university)
  • Matriculants who passed with exemption (and are currently employed)
  • Full-time students who are currently enrolled in a South African tertiary institution

Closing date: 15 December 2020

Candidate Requirements: 

Candidates must provide:

  • Proof of financial need
  • Record of excellent academic performance

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Grade 11 final results & latest Matric results (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate (certified copy)
  • Full tertiary academic record, if currently studying at tertiary level (certified copy)
  • Parents/ guardian's proof of household income
  • Latest payslips if parent/guardian is employed (applicants must provide a certified copy/ affidavit if their parent/guardian is unemployed)

Latest Bursaries

The Oppenheimer Memorial Trust (OMT) awards a limited number of scholarships annually. These scholarships are for postgraduate study at public Higher Education Institutions in South Africa at Master’s, Doctoral and Postdoctoral level.
