Bursary Details: 

The South African Society of Music Teachers is the oldest professional music society in South Africa.

Since its inception it has represented music educators at Universities, Colleges, Schools, Music centres, and in Private practice.

The SASMT administers the following bursaries and scholarships for music study in South Africa:

  • David Reunert Bursary (R1500)
  • Ellie Marx Memorial Scholarship for String Instruments (R5000)
  • Gladwell Scholarship (R12000)
  • Kathleen Irish Scholarship (R12000)

Latest Bursaries

Students awarded a bursary by SUBTROP will be required to work for SUBTROP for a period of one year for each year that the bursary is awarded, provided that a position is available.

This bursary is awarded to a first year student who has excelled in sport during his/her time at high school. The main focus is on his/her matric year.

Macadamias South Africa NPC (better known as SAMAC) is inviting students to apply for bursaries.
