UCT Jack Simmons Bursary 2021
The Jack Simmons bursary is awarded to full-time registered students who are studying for a postgraduate diploma or Honours degree in African Studies.
Students will be required to register and complete their postgraduate degree at the University of Cape Town.
The value of the Scholarship is R20 000.
Closing date: 12 April 2021.

- Students with permanent residence in South Africa
- Good academic record
- Financial need
Conditions of Bursary:
Failing to complete the degree will result in the recipient paying a full refund to the bursar.

To address some of the skills shortages identified in the Sector Skills Plan, the W&RSETA established a Bursary Scheme in 2011 which is administered by the National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) and Career Wise. The Scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to needy students to study wholesale and retail qualifications.
Applications for the SASSETA bursary are now open.
Preference will be given to applicants from the following fields of study:
- ICT Security
- Cyber Crime Investigations
- Law and BSc with the intent of becoming Trademark
- Computer Network and Systems Engineer
