Applications and decisions regarding university and funding is stressful and can be confusing. Keep reading to hear some tips and tricks when applying for funding and scholarships.

Firsly, applying isn't as stressful as you think. It can actually be pretty simple. You usually don't need more than a standard course application form and good grades. Most scholarship opportunities are usually open only to new graduate students so apply at the right time and do not delay and you put yourself in good standing!

Secondly, make sure you apply before the deadlines. Make sure you attach your supporting documents if needed and give yourself time to fill in the application before it is due.

Lastly, look for mulitple options for funding not just one. There are options such as NSFAS, Fundi, the NRF and other bursaries for specific degrees such as the Funza Lushaka bursary for teaching degrees.
