If you are planning on studying towards an undergraduate degree but did not pass matric, you will need to apply for a matric exemption through the matriculation board.
How To Apply
You will need to get a form called the M30e form using the following resources:
- Admissions Offices of universities
- Download the form from the Matriculation Board Website, by clicking here
- Request it via an e-mail addressed to [email protected]
- Request that the form is faxed to you.
To apply for. the exemption, you will need to pay the application fee for 2021 which is R610. This is non-refundable, so it is advised you take the online assessment to see if you are eligible for exemption before applying and spending R610.
The board will take at least 5-10 days working days to process the applications. If you qualify, a provisional letter will be sent and that letter will be able to facilitate your admission to a South African public university.
