How To Get Your NSFAS Wallet Balance

TVET college students manage their NSFAS allowances via the NSFAS wallet. Here is a guide on how to check your NSFAS Wallet Balance.

Beneficiaries of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) bursary depend on the allowances provided to cover costs associated with studying.

The NSFAS Wallet allows TVET college students to withdraw their allowances, so it is quite important for them to know how to check their balance.

Here is how you can check your NSFAS Wallet balance:

  1. Dial *120*176#
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Click send.
  4. Choose Option 2. Query.
  5. View cash balance and transactions.

NSFAS warns beneficiaries not to share their NSFAS Wallet password with anyone. Besides on NSFAS Wallet, NSFAS would never ask you to share this information with them.

If you do receive a message or call requesting you to share your password, it may probably be from a scammer.

Students from 33 of the 50 TVET colleges are currently receiving their allowances via the NSFAS Wallet.

With NSFAS Wallet, students use cash vouchers. This means that they can create a Celbux voucher through their NSFAS Wallet and can then withdraw the cash using that voucher by going to any of the merchants Celbux and NSFAS have partnered with.
