If you have applied for NSFAS Funding and your application status is 'Funding Without Admission', you must be wondering what it means. 

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a bursary scheme funded by the Department of Higher Education and Training. NSFAS bursaries are awarded to students who come from poor and working class backgrounds.

NSFAS applications need to done online. After you have applied for NSFAS funding, you will able to check your application status on the myNSFAS portal.

Some of you may find yourselves with the application status 'Funding without Admission', which means that your funding application has been approved but NSFAS is still waiting on confirmation from the University or College you applied to.

Once the University/College approves your application, your application status will change to 'Funding with Admission Offer'. This means that your application has been approved by NSFAS and the University/College you intend on going to.
