Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS).
The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young researchers from abroad who have completed a master’s degree or PhD and at foreign artists holding a bachelor’s degree.

What Is NSFAS?
NSFAS is a government entity under the Department of Higher Education and Training which provides financial support to disadvantaged students who wish to further their studies at public universities or TVET colleges.
NSFAS has a new and improved system that allows each applicant to be considered with great care and enormous attention is given to evaluating every application.
We offer partial scholarships to dedicated law students in need of financial assistance.
Scholarships are awarded to people who resonate with our values and who we believe have the potential to become successful lawyers with us in the future.
We will consider scholarship recipients for the Candidate Attorney Programme depending on their academic achievements, the existence of suitable vacancies and their performance in the recruitment process.
Applications for scholarships are open from 01 September and close on 30 November (annually).
HCI Foundation bursaries are primarily for students who will be in their 1st year of study in 2021 and our current bursary recipients. Applications for other years of study will only be considered if we have spaces available.
The HCI Foundation Bursary Programme provides ﬁnancial assistance to academically deserving and ﬁnancially needy students, pursuing an undergraduate degree up to Honours level in any ﬁeld of study, at a public university or university of technology in South Africa.
SAWISE - the Association of South African Women in Science and Engineering is offering a scholarship. The SAWISE scholarship is ONLY open to females ONLY pursuing their 4th year [e.g. BSc (Honours) or equivalent] of study at tertiary level.
The closing date for all applications is 15 November annually
The purpose of the Fund is to provide bursaries to students enrolled, or intending to enroll, at tertiary educational institutions for obtaining a qualification appropriate for formal employment in the South African wool industry
The South African Avocado Growers’ Association (SAAGA) makes bursaries available to individuals from historically disadvantaged groups for studies to towards a BSc (Agric) or equivalent degrees majoring in Horticultural Science or Agricultural Economics / Agribusiness.
Aim of bursary is to ensure that appropriately trained graduates of colour enter the South African avocado industry to enable continued growth of the sector.
