The New Zealand Aid Programme offers scholarships to potential applicants from eligible African countries
(including South Africa) who are motivated to make a difference at home. Applications are now open for studies in 2021.
Types of scholarships available
There are two types of scholarships available:
1) New Zealand Scholarship for International Tertiary
Robben Island (RI) is described as the “University of Life” for it is here where strategies for a future society based on tolerance; respect and non-racialism were
nurtured and implemented by political prisoners.
The emphasis on education, debate and lifelong learning is testimony to the fight for justice.
Applications for RIM bursaries are now open to South African graduates and under graduates.
The bursary is open to South African graduates who have applied independently to a South African University for the 2020 academic year.
The Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan is offering scholarships for Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral programmes to the citizens of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries (including South Africa) to study at leading Azerbaijan universities.
The Department of Higher Education and Training is responsible for nominations for this scholarship.

The Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG); through the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC} hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the National Disaster Management Centre's Bursary Programme for the 2020 Academic year.
The NDMC's Bursary Programme seeks to fund selected students enrolled for a higher qualification in Disaster Risk Science and/or Disaster Management at Public Institutions in South Africa.
