Subtrop LINDSEY MILNE Bursary Scheme 2021

Students awarded a bursary by SUBTROP will be required to work for SUBTROP for a period of one year for each year that the bursary is awarded, provided that a position is available.

If no position is available at the time that the recipient completes his/her degree, there will be no obligation to SUBTROP.

Recipients of the bursary will be required to focus their seminars and projects on subtropical crops (avocado, mango, litchi) where possible.

AIM OF THE BURSARY

South African Avocado Growers’ Association (SAAGA) 2021 Bursary

The South African Avocado Growers’ Association (SAAGA) makes bursaries available to individuals from historically disadvantaged groups for studies to towards a BSc (Agric) or equivalent degrees majoring in Horticultural Science or Agricultural Economics / Agribusiness.

Aim of bursary is to ensure that appropriately trained graduates of colour enter the South African avocado industry to enable continued growth of the sector.

WSP Consulting Engineers Bursary 2021

WSP in Africa offers bursaries for engineering and environmental students at recognised universities in South Africa. Support is given to bursary candidates through vacation work and employment opportunities after studies where possible, giving them the opportunity to not only make their mark on the world, but to build a legacy.

WSP in Africa is looking for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for our 2020 bursary programme. 

African Scholar's Fund

Learners in Grades 7-11 applying for Grades 8-12 from Northern, Eastern and Western Cape or from the Southern part of the North West Provinces who come from poor homes.

The African Scholars’ Fund supports scholars who are registered for Business and Engineering studies at Public TVET Colleges.

Our areas of operation are the Eastern Cape [PE and Eastcape Midlands College] and the Western Cape [College of Cape Town and Northlink College].

Bursaries are offered for full-time studies only.

Takealot.com Bursary 2021

Takealot.com contributes to skills development in the Information Technology, Computer Science and Computer Engineering sector through funding bursaries for deserving candidates who are South African citizens studying at public South African institutions towards relevant degree programmes.

Takelot.com simultaneously wants to create a talent pipeline of developers to enter our graduate development programme. Our bursaries therefore come with a work back obligation and vacation work.

Engineering Institute IMESA Bursary 2021

IMESA offers a bursary scheme for full-time studies in the field of Civil Engineering. Other engineering disciplines may be considered only at the discretion of the Executive Council of IMESA.

The aims of the scheme are: 

  • to provide financial assistance to students who would otherwise not have been able to afford to study
  • to recognise the achievements of students and prospective students who are dependants of IMESA members

The Sage External Bursary is aimed at funding undergraduate students. Applicants must be studying at a public university in South Africa.

Interested in studying IT? The Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) is inviting applicants to apply for a bursary. 

The bursary will provide financial support to full time students enabling them to complete their education and pursue a career which will help to grow the IT industry and the South African economy.

The Citrus Academy bursary is open to any person studying at a registered tertiary education institution. Students must be studying in a field related to citrus production or research.

The Western Cape Provincial Treasury launched this bursary programme in 2008. Through the programme, youth will have the opportunity to access tertiary education.
