Teta Seta Learner Bursaries For 2026
Bursary Details
Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) invites qualifying unemployed learners to apply for bursaries for the 2026 academic year
Qualifications funded through the TETA bursary are dictated by emerging industry needs hence they change from time to time.
For the 2026 academic year, the following qualifications will be funded
1. N4-N6) or ND or B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
2. (N4-N6) or ND or B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3. (N4-N6) or ND or B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree Financial Management
4. (N4-N6) or ND or B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Business Management or Administration
5. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Logistics Management
6. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Road Transport Management
7. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Supply Chain Management including Warehouse, Storage and Distribution
8. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Transportation Management
9. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Transport Economics
10. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Information and Communication Technology
11. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Risk Management
12. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma, B Degree or Honours Degree in Operations Management
13. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Health and Safety Management
14. National Diploma, B-Tech, Advanced Diploma or B Degree in Maritime or Nautical Studies
15. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Health or Bachelor of Environmental Management
16. National Certificate in Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance
17. Post Graduate Diploma in Cybersecurity
18. Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence
19. Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Health or Bachelor of Environmental Management
20. National Certificate in Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance
21. Post Graduate Diploma in Cybersecurity
22. Diploma in Mechatronics
23. Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Development
24. BSc / BCom in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies
25. Postgrad Diploma in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence
26. Diploma in Cloud Computing / Networking
27. B Degree/BSc in Aeronautical Engineering
28. B Degree in Maritime Law
29. B Degree in Marine Engineering
30. B Degree Law
31. BCom in Accounting
32. BSc in Data Sciences
33. Master’s Degree:
Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence
Master of Science in Machine Learning
Master of Science in Robotics or any other Research topics
Relevant to the transport sector
34. Doctoral Degree (PhD) - (Research topics Relevant to the transport sector)
35. Commercial Divers, Class II, III and IV
36. Private Pilot License
37. Commercial Pilot License
38. Instructor’s Rating
39. Instrument Rating
40. CPL with ATPL Subjects (Frozen ATPL)
41. ATPL (Hour Building)
42. Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence
Who Can Apply
- Learners currently in Grade 12 or have completed matric, or NCV (L4), intending to study qualifications selected for the 2025 intake (see qualification list below);
- Currently registered students at universities and colleges who require funding for the 2025 academic year;
- Aviation students with valid PPL or CPL;
- Commercial divers with matric (Senior Certificate).
Applicants must be studying at or intending to study at either:
- Universities/University of Technologies,
- Accredited Private Higher Education Institutions
- Public and Private Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges
- Accredited Aviation Schools,
- Accredited Diving Schools
- Maritime Schools
Applicants must be a South African citizen of Permanent Resident

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be South African citizens.
- The bursary will target the youth.
- Applicants for the aforementioned qualifications may be preferred.
