The University of Limpopo (UL) was established in January 2005 when the Medical University of Southern Africa and the University of the North merged. Since then, they have been committed to delivering high quality education, training and research to their students.
UL wants to develop into a leading tertiary education institution in Africa. To achieve this vision, UL believes in community to community engagement as well as responding to the needs of their staff and students.
The university offers a wide range of academic programmes through their four faculties. These include the:
- Faculty of Science And Agriculture
- Faculty of Health Sciences
- Faculty of Humanities
- Faculty of Management and Law
The cost of tertiary education can serve as a barrier of entry for many students living in South Africa. However, there is financial aid provided to many students living in the country which can provide them with partial and full bursaries.
