One of South Africa's cellular network providers, MTN, will be awarding bursaries to deserving students within the following fields of study that are in relation to IT:

The eligibility requirements of this bursary include: 

  1. ID document (certified copy)
  2. Matric certificate (certified copy)

  5. Proof of enrollment in one of the aforementioned fields of study
  6. Proof of household income (latest payslips/ affidavit if unemployed/ pension statement if on state pension)

WeThinkCode Bursary 

WeThinkCode is an institution with the goal of addressing the gap in the IT sector in South Africa.

Bursaries will be awarded within the following fields of study:

  1. Computer Engineering
  2. Computer Programming
  3. Computer Science
  4. Informatics
  5. Software Engineering

Eligibility requirements include: 

  1. South African citizen/ permanent resident (eligible to study and work in South Africa)
  2. Between 17 and 35 years old
  3. Able to study at the campus in Johannesburg
  4. No previous education required; those who have not completed matric are also welcome to apply
