Fundi aims to help students fund their studies in tertiary education. Fundi provides education loans to students that covers a variety of expenses so students can study without financial burden.
Fundi funds private and public institutions but the question is, do they fund online studies?
And they do! You just have to check with Fundi if the institution you're applying to is accepted by Fundi.
Fundi covers postgraduate qualifications, executive education programmes and MBAs. Funding from Fundi can also cover other expenses such as outstanding balances, registration fees, laptops, textbooks, study tools, accommodation, as well as uniforms and stationery.
The requirements for funding from Fundi is as follows:
- a South African resident (you must provide proof of this with your ID and proof of residence)
- permanently employed or have a parent who is permanently employed (you must provide proof of this with a letter from your employer confirming this; your last receipt of salary and your latest bank statements)
- Lastly, your credit status must be in good standing as you will not qualify if you are under credit or debt review. This is so that Fundi can see that you are able to repay the loan that they are providing.
Fundi does not require you to pay collateral and repayments are deducted from your salary or can be paid through debit orders.
