As you are completing your NSFAS application, you may find that your high school is not listed on the form. No need to worry.

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) announced that if your high school does not appear on the application form, all you need to do is select “Other” as your option and continue to fill out the form.

Once you have completed your application form you may keep an eye on your application status via your myNSFAS account and click on “Track application progress”.

Since 2018, NSFAS has been helping millions of students reach their dreams with the help of financial aid.

The bursary provides students with financial support, which includes tuition fees, registration costs, learning materials and living allowances; so that they can achieve their goals without worrying about the cost of it all.

NSFAS is a bursary provided by the government to students who fall within the following criteria:

  • South African citizens.
  • Sassa grant beneficiaries.
  • Those who have a combined household income of no more than R350 000 per annum.
  • Persons with disabilities whose combined household income is R600 000 per annum or less.

Applications will remain open until 7 January 2022.

Students are reminded that they may apply online or with the help of an application centre.
