These are the steps you need to follow in order to obtain an NSFAS bursary, which includes how to sign your agreement. Any student who has been approved for funding will not receive any money until they sign the agreement.

1. Apply for Funding

If after checking the criteria for funding, you find that you meet the criteria for NSFAS funding, you should apply for financial aid when applications open. These applications can be submitted online or manually. You can find out more about this here.

2. Wait for Approval

NSFAS receives many applications for financial aid and so it may take time for your application to be processed. You will receive an SMS or email notification to confirm your status. This notification is important for the next step, signing the agreement.

3. Sign the Agreement

The notification you receive by SMS or by email will direct you to the NSFAS website where you will be able to sign the form. You will need to log in to your NSFAS account using a OTP. The next instruction will be to check the details of the agreement and ensure the information is correct. Once you have confirmed the details, tick the 'terms and conditions' and declaration boxes. After you click yes to the terms and conditions, you will have successfully completed the signing of the agreement.
