The Process Of Applying For A Nursing Bursary
Eligibility
One of the main things to consider when applying for a bursary is eligibility. Ensuring that you meet all the eligibility criteria will save you time and money. The eligibility criteria for any nursing bursary will contain criteria that the candidate must meet to be eligible to receive funding.
Documentation
Simply being eligible for a nursing bursary is not enough to justify receding funding. Candidates who apply for a nursing bursary are required to provide evidence they meet the eligibility criteria. The bursary provider will often list all the required documents you need to submit to be considered for funding.
This can include a candidate's identity, nationality, past academic results, proof of registration in an academic programme, completed application form, motivation essay, letter of recommendation, and household income.
Submitting The Application
Meeting all the eligibility criteria and gathering all the required documents is not enough for a nursing bursary. You still need to submit your application.
Make sure you know where you must submit your application. Some bursary providers require students to make use of an application portal while others may require you to send your bursary application via post. Make sure you know to who you are expected to apply.
Due Date
You’ve done all the hard work, met the criteria, gathered the required documents and you are ready to submit your application. Make sure you submit your application before the nursing bursary deadline. Many bursary providers will not consider applicants for funding even if they meet all the criteria for the bursary.
