The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a bursary that is provided by the government with the aim of assisting students who wish to study at a public university or TVET college.
NSFAS is available to all South African citizens who are in need of financial support. The bursary covers registration fees, tuition and allowances to cover travelling, books and living expenses.
Applications are currently open and will close on 7 January 2022.
In order to assist those who are unable to apply online due to no internet access or device, NSFAS has set up application centres throughout South Africa.
