The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has opened applications for 2025 funding for students enrolled in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges. The application period will close on 24 January 2025.
NSFAS provides crucial financial support to deserving South African students. This includes bursaries and loans to cover tuition fees, registration costs, and essential living expenses like food, accommodation, and learning materials.
NSFAS has confirmed that late applications for 2025 funding will be accepted in January. All applications must be submitted online through the myNSFAS portal.
This circular cancels the previous communication contained in Circular 9 of 2024, which stated that NSFAS will not be opening 2025 TVET walk-in applications in January 2025.
Students must apply for the specific academic cycle they intend to register for.
