Unisa NSFAS Allowances
Unisa students who qualify for NSFAS funding can receive allowances for Learning Materials. The amount of this allowance depends on the number of modules registered:
- 4 modules: R700 per module
- 5 or more modules: A once-off amount of R5,460
The Learning Material allowance is paid once off at the beginning of the year.
Personal Care Allowance
Students registered for 10 or more modules are eligible for a personal care/incidental allowance of R304.50 per month for 10 months. This allowance is paid from February to November and can be used to cover general expenses.
Only students studying an equivalent full-time course credit load qualify for the personal care allowance.
