The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (Nsfas) has been providing bursaries for deserving and qualifying students. As part of this bursary, Nsfas covers student accommodation, registration, tuition fees, personal care allowance, and transport allowance.

The bursary scheme has now made it easy for students to access their allowances, by providing them with the option of withdrawing money by using the cardless withdrawal option by dialling the*134*7772#  USSD code.

Nsfas students are encouraged to follow these steps in order to make a cardless withdrawal:

Step 1: Log into the eZaga App

Step 2: Tap on ‘Withdraw Zaga’

Step 3: Tap on ‘Nedbank ATM’

Step 4: Enter the amount you want to withdraw and process

Step 5: Voucher code will be received within an hour.

Should the student not receive their voucher code within an hour, then they will have to dial *120*001# and select ‘get voucher’. This will be followed by the student receiving their voucher code via text message.

One of Nsfas’ selected distribution partners, eZaga confirmed that the USSD is free of charge, and no airtime will be required from students.

According to Nsfas  students may withdraw their Nsfas allowances at any Nedbank ATM or Pick ‘n Pay, Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, and Usave stores.
