NSFAS Allowances for September 2024
NSFAS meal and personal care allowances are distributed in ten monthly payments. In September, students can expect:
- Meal allowance: R1,345
- Personal care allowance: Approximately R300 (for students in catered accommodation)
- Students living more than 10km from campus receive a transportation allowance of up to R771 per month.
How NSFAS Allowances Are Paid
Until the end of 2024, universities will manage NSFAS allowance payments for their students. TVET college students will continue to receive their allowances directly into their bank accounts.
