The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has announced its 2025 application dates for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college students. NSFAS provides bursaries and student loans to deserving learners enrolled in approved courses at universities and TVET colleges.
This includes money for tuition and registration fees as well as several allowances for food, accommodation and learning materials.
NSFAS TVET College Application Dates
TVET college programs don’t always follow a traditional January-to-December academic calendar. Instead, they may start at various times throughout the year, and NSFAS offers several application periods to align with these unique academic schedules.
Here’s a breakdown of the NSFAS TVET College application dates for 2025:

How TVET College Students Can Apply for NSFAS Funding
All NSFAS applications for 2025 must be submitted online through the myNSFAS portal, as NSFAS has confirmed there will be no walk-in applications at TVET colleges this year. To apply, students should create a myNSFAS profile, complete their application, and select the relevant academic cycle based on their intended start date.
NSFAS urges students to ensure they complete the entire application process and not simply create a profile on the myNSFAS platform. Additionally, it’s essential to apply for the specific academic cycle aligned with your planned enrollment period.
By keeping track of the NSFAS TVET College application dates and following these guidelines, you can increase your chances of securing funding for your 2025 studies.
